Notre Dame de la Garde

Le Fort Saint-Jean

The Fort Saint-Jean, a listed historical landmark, is perched on a limestone spur between the port, the Abbey of Saint Victor, and the Pharo. It has recently become the home of the Museum of Civilizations from Europe and the Mediterranean (MuCEM), which offers numerous exhibitions to the public.

Le Palais du Pharo

Les calanques

Marseille's calanques, visited each year by close to a million people, are among the most remarkable sites in France in terms of their scenic beauty as well as the many activities they offer. They span over twenty kilometers of Mediterranean coastline between Marseille and Cassis.

Le Château d'If et les îles du Frioul

Situated on an islet in the Frioul archipelago off the coast of Marseille, the Château d'If welcomes over 90,000 visitors a year. This fortress built by François I is a former prison, made famous by Alexander Dumas' novel, 'The Count of Monte Cristo.' A listed historical landmark, as well as an exceptional site to discover.

L'Abbaye Saint-Victor

Le Vieux-Port

La Vieille Charité

A 17th century historical monument, La Vieille Charité is located in the heart of the Old Panier quarter in Marseille. It houses several cultural institutions - The Museum of Mediterranean Archeology, the Museum of African, Oceanic, and Amerindian Art, temporary exhibitions, and Le Miroir (a movie theater).

L'Estaque

Located in Marseille's 16th arrondissement near the Old Port area, L'Estaque is a very famous port. The neighborhood is a reflection of Provence's charm and tranquility, and offers a wide variety of cultural and leisure activities.
